The UPG from Eltex is a small and robustly designed yarn break sensor that is easy to operate and easy to mount in narrow spaces.

It simply monitors if the yarn is moving or not and stops the machine when a yarn breaks. Its ceramic sensing part is based on the well proven piezoelectric principle and can be used for all types of yarns on a variety of textile machine applications.

Among its technical features, one of the most useful is the optocoupler output that makes it easy to connect to a PLC or other electronic control devices. Another is the specially designed and patented sensor part that can be used as a closed eyelet or as an easy thread-up open bar.
