Eltex thread sensor 15960 - 15962

This thread sensor is designed to monitor up to 6 sewing threads on automatic sewing machines. It checks that the thread is moving in stitches.

Both no thread movement and continuous thread movement will result in an active output, which is normally used to stop the machine. It operates on the piezoelectric principle. This working principle makes it suitable for all types of thread and is insensitive to dust, dirt and humidity variations.

Features:

  • The thread sensor works on the piezo electrical
principle and the thread stitch pulses are detected
    by the eyelet.
  • For each eyelet there is an ON/OFF switch.
  • Each eyelet has a red LED to indicate a stop.
  • A broken thread is indicated by continuous light on
    the LED.
  • A continuous moving thread is indicated by the
    LED flashing.
  • A green LED on the thread sensor indicates when the
sensor is active and sensing the yarns.
  • Power supply 24 V (16–33V) DC. Current consumption
    35 mA.
  • The thread sensor has a DB9M connector

Thread sensor 15427/15428 & Central control unit 15141

Thread stop motion that is designed to monitor the overthreads on a quilting machine. The system consists of three different parts. A thread sensor to monitor the thread, one light switch or proximity switch to synchronise the system to the machine cycles and one central control unit. This unit will provide the power supply, send and receive signals from the other units and send a stop signal to the machine when a thread fault occurs. The 15427/15428 sensors can no longer be produced due to a lack of components and will become obsolete. The Central control unit 15141 will continue to be sold as a spare part and can also be repaired.

Features:

  • Individual stop margin counter in each thread sensor, counting missing stitches in a row.
  • An ON/OFF switch with a double function light indicator in each thread sensor.
  • The thread sensors are easily fitted on, and can easily be moved along a standard DIN rail, fitted on the machine.
  • The thread sensors are connected in parallel with a 10-pole ribbon cable.
