At Eltex we have been part of the tufting industry for many years, and through great know-how and development, have come to be known as the industry standard for end-out detection.
Eltex leads the way in an
expanding tufting industry
Ever since the EYE Compact sensor was first introduced in 2013 for the carpet tufting industry, it has also been used for artificial grass tufting.
EYE Compact sensors are designed for yarn fault detection on tufting machines and greatly improves quality and efficiency by reducing mending and down time.
We are contributing significantly to carpet producing companies, of both tufted carpets and artificial grass, by offering intelligent sensor systems that are adaptable and flexible.
The most apparent benefit is to make sure that every single yarn is monitored and that the machine stops almost instantly when an end-out occurs. This results in much less waste than a machine without an Eltex EYE system and creates a better working environment for the machine operator who does not need to control every single yarn and can therefore maintain several machines simultaneously.
We now have two different end-out systems for the grass tufting industry, the EYE Compact system, and the EYE system. The EYE sensor, which has successfully been used for many years in textile applications like warping, winding and composites, has also shown to be very useful for artificial grass tufting. Depending on the distance between the needles, either EYE or EYE Compact is most suitable to mount on a specific machine.
The EYE sensor can be mounted upside down and in double rows if necessary and is available in 4 different versions with 1, 8, 10 or 12 eyelets. These can also be combined in one system which creates good optimization possibilities.
The EYE Compact sensor on the other hand has 16 eyelets and is mounted perpendicularly from the machine, thus allowing for a denser mounting possibility. This makes it possible for use on high density machines.
To sum it all up, we contribute to the industry´s profitability and sustainability by offering intelligent sensor systems that reacts on end-outs almost instantly. By having full control over R&D and production of our sensors, we ensure that our customers receive products they can trust.
