Our EYE System for yarn break detection is a very versatile system that can be used on many different types of textile machines / processes. In this month’s edition we show how it can be used on a sectional warping machine.

Warping is a very important step in the production of woven fabric. In the sectional warping process typically hundreds of yarns are wound onto a drum in sections, then unwound onto a final “warp beam” which then contains thousands of yarns. With hundreds of yarns to monitor during the sectional warping process, it’s vital to have a proven workhorse like our EYE System ensuring every single yarn is there and accounted for. Day after day, month after month, year after year, our system does its job virtually maintenance free. Stopping the machine within milliseconds when a broken yarn is detected.
