The compactly designed ETM Solo from Eltex is an on-line device that continuously monitors yarn tension in textile processes such as weaving, warping and winding. Its fast response enables it to detect rapid changes in yarn tension which makes it suitable for use in closed-loop tension control systems.
It is available in two different tension ranges, 1,000 and 2,500 cN. For communication the device uses a CAN bus system.
Certain models are equipped with an integrated yarn movement sensor eliminating the need for a separate yarn break sensor. On the backside of the sturdy metal housing is an adjustment for yarn movement sensitivity. A M8 connector is provided for output of analogue signals for both yarn movement and yarn tension.
Thanks to its compact design the ETM Solo can easily be mounted in groups and connected in parrallel with other ETM Solos.
When combined with our ETM Solo Viewer the full tension range can be analyzed in real time and conveniently exported for later viewing.
The continuous monitoring of the yarn tension gives the operator full controll and allows for an early intervention if the tension deviates too much. This creates more efficiency in the manufacturing process with an improvement of the quality in the end product as a result.
